Carewest Pre-employment Program

Skillset in conjunction with Carewest are running a FREE pre-employment program designed to equip successful candidates with the core competencies required to commence employment in the Disability Industry.

The course is FREE however, numbers are limited and eligibility will be assessed against suitability for Disability Support work.

The program will run for 3 weeks, where candidates will undertake 2 days training and 2 days on the job experience each week.
Units undertaken:
  • CHCOHS312B: Follow Safety Procedures for direct care work
  • CHCICS402A: Facilitate individualise plans
  • CHCDIS302A: Maintain an environment to empower people with disabilities

A Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion of the program.

Key Dates



  • Start date: Tuesday 13th March
  • Finish date: Friday 30th March
  • Running for 3 weeks: Tuesday - Friday
  • Applications close: Wednesday 29th February 2012

Outcomes



Candidates who successfully complete this program and are deemed suitable for the Disability Industry may be offered employment with Carewest and may be required to complete the Certificate IV Disability.
