General Education looks to equip those adults with the skills to have the ability to proficiently read and write.

This is a preparatory course designed for entry to further study. It is for adults who have left school early and who need to improve their literacy, basic maths and general education skills.
Skillset offers training in the following qualifications:
| - Certificate II in General Education for Adults.

| | The electives are: numeracy and mathematics; reading and writing; oral communication; and, general curriculum options. |

There are no formal education requirements. Those who come from a language other than English may be expected to speak some English.
