OHS Induction for Construction

To work on a construction site in New South Wales it is compulsory to hold a current 'White Card'.

The White Card is obtained by attending a one day training course called Work Safely in the Construction Industry.

What does it cover?

The course topics are:
  • Implementing Health & Safety for the workplace
  • Hazard identification
  • Workplace Emergencies and First Aid
  • Consultation and Communication in OH&S
  • Identifying Signs
  • Workplace Injury Management

Compulsory ID requirements

Before commencing this course, you must produce 100 points proof of identity (including an approved photo ID) or you will not be allowed to commence the course as specified by WorkCover NSW. Please see the link outlining the specific ID requirements.

What will I get?

When you have successfully completed the course you will be issued with a Statement of training which is an interim certificate for proof of training until your White Card arrives from WorkCover. This usually takes around 60 days. You will also receive a Statement of Attainment from the RTO in Work Safely in the Construction Industry [CPCCOHS1001A].
