 Rachel MacSmith is our Workforce Development Consultant based in Orange. Rachel has spent most of her life living and working in the Central West. She was born in Orange and went to school in Cudal. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) degree in Sydney and a stint working overseas, Rachel returned to Orange with a friend in the late 80's to set up and run a successful café. Upon selling this business, she then worked with her brothers in setting up a canola crushing business on the family farm, before moving into vocational education and training as a Management and Small Business teacher at Orange TAFE. Rachel has worked with Skillset for the past 3 years, firstly as a Business Training Adviser and now as a Workforce Development Consultant. Rachel has experience in business, a strong knowledge of vocational education and training and is passionate about supporting regional communities through economic development.
